At 14:02 hours today the team was contacted by Greater Manchester Police to join an ongoing search for a gentleman giving cause for concern for his welfare.
36-year-old Craig Kennedy was last seen at 8pm on Saturday 7 June 2014 when he was at his home on Holyoake Road, Walkden, and was reported missing on Sunday morning.
Craig is known to enjoy walking in the local parks, and following appeals on the Greater Manchester Police website and social media, Bolton Mountain Rescue were called to assist in the ongoing search in Clifton Country Park, Salford.
In total 26 team members assisted in the search of Clifton Country Park, joined with 4 search dogs and handlers from SARDA. Approximately 20 members of Cheshire Search & Rescue Team were also on on standby to assist us if required during the search (ultimately it was decided that there were sufficient personnel to search the given areas)
Police enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Craig Kennedy should phone 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
This is the same park in which we assisted the North West Ambulance Service to evacuate a mountain biker last week. Please see incident 56/2014.
