Today four team Call out list members Mike Wakerley, Jess Ellesmore, Mike Marsh and Phil Horner and Support Group members Dave Rees, Sarah Hindle and Steve James attended today’s GMFRS Horwich Community Fire Station Annual Open Day.

We had on display our Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance Vehicle radio call sign ‘Bolton Mobile 3, and our Ford Transit Minibus Ambulance ‘Bolton Mobile 5, alongside the Support Group’s display including our 2nd hand book stall and other team merchandise items attracting many donations.

Present at the Open Day was vehicle displays by many GMFRS Fire Appliances, including the Horwich based Pump Appliance and the Bolton Based Hydraulic Platform.

The team was also visited by the Mayor of Horwich, Cllr Richard Silvester, and Cllr Stephen Pickup, along with the Member of Parliament for Bolton West, Julie Hilling MP.

In total, with very grateful thanks to the many visitors to the Open Day who visited our display, we raised over £70 in very supportive donations.The Mayor, Mike and Sarah
