Readers will recall that on Good Friday, 18th April 2014, we responded to an incident involving a young 11 years old girl, who had sustained a serious knee injury, after stumbling on the slopes of Rivington Pike.
The young girl, Chloe Southworth, who had been enjoying the Good Friday festivities in the company of her father, uncle and cousin, was airlifted to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital by the North West Air Ambulance, Helimed 72.
(Please see website ‘News’ report dated Good Friday, 18th April 2014)
As arranged and reported on our website news report of 20th June, early this afternoon Chloe, accompanied by her mother Karen and father Paul visited the team at our Ladybridge hall Base / HQ to collect some material we put together to assist her with her kind endeavour to fundraise for us during her term in office as a newly elected Rose Queen.
Upon arrival the three were greeted by team members Garry Rhodes MBE, Steve Fletcher and Mike Marsh, who had a chat about the team and Chloe’s accident.
Chloe, her mother and father were then given a tour of our vehicles by Team Chairman Craig Lamb, Equipment Officer (Vehicles) Neil Aspinall and probationary team member Gary Melia.
All team members present wished Chloe every success in her fundraising efforts for Bolton MRT and the North West Air Ambulance.
