This evening, thirty four team call out list operational members, one Probationary team call out list member and our Team Secretary – a Support Group member, assembled at 20.00hrs at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, to hold and partake in a Special General Meeting.
A major agenda item was a vote by the membership to accept the findings of a small team member working group, as reported to and accepted by our Team Council, regarding the replacement garment for our now long in the tooth Keela Munro Waterproof Team Jackets.
The Jacket Review Committee, members being Steve Fletcher, Mike Marsh, Mike O’Brien and Chris Weatherhead, had comprehensively reviewed the following four garments;
- Mountain Equipment Kongur MRT jacket
- Paramo Aspira Pro jacket
- Keela Cumulus MRT jacket
- Montane Alpine Endurance MRT jacket
Their findings and ultimate recommendation was out before our Team Council of Tuesday 20th May 2014 in the form of a very thorough comparison and evaluation report.
Tonight the team membership voted to approve the purchase by the team of the Jacket Review Committees recommended jacket, namely the Montane Alpine Endurance MRT Jacket.
The team will now be purchasing 55x of these jackets with immediate effect, at an estimated cost to the team of circa £11,600.00 including VAT. (The sponsorship of this purchase would be most welcomed by the team)
The SGM went on to consider and discuss various possible developmental matters within the organisation of the team.
The SGM finished at the very late time of circa 23.15hrs.
