Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

3rd July 2014

Given the route of this weekends Tour de France, a great many Mountain Rescue Teams have been mobilised to cover various aspects of spectator safety along the upland route on Saturday and Sunday.

Details can be found on our national MREW website of the many MRTs involved.

Locally our neighbours at Rossendale and Pendle MRT are assisting their neighbours at Calder Valley SRT on Sunday, whilst our friends at Oldham MRT have members on standby at their Base / HQ should they be required on Sunday.

Colleague MPSRO team, Holme Valley MRT are also fully involved.

Given Rossendale and Pendle MRTs involvement in the Tour de France, they have requested that ourselves and Bowland Pennine MRT be available to respond to any incidents in RPMRTs operational area on Sunday 6th July.
