This afternoon, team callout list member Martin Battersby and our team Secretary, Gillian Gregory represented Bolton Mountain Rescue Team at Clevelands Preparatory School’s Prize Giving Ceremony held at Christ Church, Heaton.  Both had been invited to accept a cheque donation from the Head Boy and Head Girl following the school’s year of fundraising for the Team.

Gillian and Martin were absolutely delighted to receive a wonderful presentation cheque to the value of £650 which had been raised by the sale of refreshments, baking cakes, sale of goods, and the school Summer Fair.

Martin and Gillian stayed to hear of the school’s achievements throughout the year, including the presentation of awards and trophies for sport, music, art, and endeavour, and also to hear songs performed by the children.  After refreshments in the School Hall, when they were able to thank Headteacher, Mrs Lesley Parlane, for the fantastic support from the school, they took a photo of Year 5 children with the presentation cheque.
