Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

30th July 2014

This morning and in to the early afternoon, two team members took part in an off road driver training session held at City Airport and Heliport Manchester (Barton)

This excellent training was provided by four members of North West 4 x 4 Response, primarily for the Airport Fire and Rescue Service duty crews, who operate a Land Rover and Toyota HiLux Rapid Intervention Airfield Fire Appliances.

With thanks to our growing links with North West 4 x 4 Response, our friends at the Airport Fire and Rescue Service and Mark Knowles, Airport FSO, we accepted their joint invitation to take part today.

Team members Steve O’Hara and Chris Tennant took part today, using our Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance vehicle, radio call sign ‘Bolton Mobile 2.’

Chris and Steve would like to thank North West 4 x 4 Response Training Officer Howard Buckley for kindly accommodating us today on this valuable training.

A more detailed report on today will appear here shortly.
