Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

27th August 2014

This cool and windy Wednesday evening, our exercise involved a female geologist who was reported to be injured whilst examining the boulder fields on Turton Moor.

Readers familiar with Turton Moor may know there are two large boulder fields present, Andrew’s Buttery and Big Grey Stones.

From the 18 team members present, two search parties were despatched onto the moor to search these areas.

Exercise casualty Tina Tennant, a former member of our Support Group and wife of current callout list member Chris Tennant had secreted herself in a crevice between boulders and was located and treated for her suspected broken ankle and concussion injuries.

Thanks are expressed to team members Chris Tennant and John Dickinson for organising tonight’s exercise and to Tina Tennant for volunteering to be our exercise casualty.
