Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

8th September 2014

Further to the report already published yesterday evening, below is an additional report from Paul Copley, our Equipment Officer – Base / HQ who attended the Bolton Lads and Girls Club Charity donation evening, on Sunday 7th September.

“Upon arriving at the Platinum suite at the Macron Stadium, Gill, Martin and I were met by Noz and members of the National Citizens Scheme team.

We were directed to our seats and waited for presentation to begin.

The volunteers from Bolton Lads and Girls Club were in 6 groups. Blue group, the team who raised money for Bolton MRT by walking around Rivington raising £243.53p were presented on stage with their certificates watched on by their team leaders.

We were then asked to say a few words thanking the Blue group for their efforts and indeed thanking all who had given up their time to volunteer to all receiving charities.

At the end of the presentation we had chat with Blue group and presented them with Bolton MRT supporter lapel badges as a small token of our very grateful appreciation.

At this point our older years showed as we departed and left the younger generation to their well earned celebratory disco!

Gill Martin and Paul would like to thank the National Citizens Scheme, Bolton Lads and Girls club and Bolton Wanderers Football Club, who kindly hosted the event for a lovely evening in excellent company.”
