Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

28th September 2014

The last Sunday in every month sees Team operational members usually helped by Support Group members, meet at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, for our valet day, encompassing a full clean up (Vacuuming, dusting, polishing, wiping clean) of our main building and toilet / shower block outbuilding, and a full external and internal valet of all six of our team vehicles and our SAR Boat and Catering Trailer.

This takes place ‘regardless’ of any of our routine cleaning that takes place after every use of our vehicles and our Base / HQ.

This monthly valet day is also an opportunity to complete other maintenance and kit checks in addition to more routine weekly checks.

Today fifteen Call Out list members and one Trainee Team member attended for the 13.00hrs start ….. and once more all our vehicles are spotless.

What is amazing, and illustrates the pride we take in our ‘appearance’ and looking after our kit, as well as displaying tremendous commitment as volunteers, is that most of the sixteen members present today had been up since 04.08hrs this morning, when they responded to Incident 84 at Darwen Tower, most had also been involved in last nights mountain biker incident at Roddlesworth (Incident 83) with three also having attended last nights charity fundraising event at Horwich.
