Today we have received the following very kind Facebook message from team supporters Karen, Paul and Chloe Southworth;
“Hi all, It’s been a while since we came down to see you all after Chloe’s accident so just wanted to update you. Because her Sunday School is closed over the school summer holiday’s, she’s only just now able to organise her first fundraising tea dance in her role as “Rose Queen”. She plans to hold the event in November some time and hopes to have a bake sale at the event as well so it’s fingers crossed she raises a good amount on the day. Her Grand dad has also kindly requested donations for Bolton Mountain Rescue Team or North West Air Ambulance for his forthcoming 80th birthday instead of gifts to help with her fundraising so watch this space and we’ll keep you updated. In the meantime, keep up the good work. Karen, Paul & Chloe Southworth.”
Our regular readers will recall that on Good Friday, 18th April 2014, we responded to an incident involving a young 11 years old girl, who had sustained a serious knee injury, after stumbling on the slopes of Rivington Pike.
The young girl, Chloe Southworth, who had been enjoying the Good Friday festivities in the company of her father, uncle and cousin, was airlifted to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital by the North West Air Ambulance, Helimed 72.
(Please see website ‘News’ report dated Good Friday, 18th April 2014)
As arranged and reported on our website news report of 20th June, early on the afternoon of Sunday 22nd June 2014 Chloe, accompanied by her mother Karen and father Paul, visited the team at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ to collect some material we put together to assist her with her kind endeavour to fundraise for us during her term in office as a newly elected Rose Queen (Please see website ‘News’ report dated Sunday 22nd June 2014)
All the team membership wishes Chloe every success in her fundraising efforts for Bolton MRT and the North West Air Ambulance, and we also pass on our sincere thanks to Chloe’s Grand dad for his great promise of support to Chloe for us and the North West Air Ambulance, and we would like to take this opportunity to send to him advance birthday congratulations on his forthcoming 80th very special day.
