Yesterday, Friday 10th October, our Support Group were busy holding a charity collection day at Morrisons Supermarket, Gate Fold, Harwood.

On rota duty were Julie Thompson, Lee Grice, Dave Rees, Gillian Gregory and Amanda Strickleton, with very much appreciated help from operational team members, Bob Hutchinson, who is our Team President, and long serving team member Dave Marsh with his newly qualified Drowned Victim Search Dog, Sasha, who delighted the animal lovers and children.

Also providing much needed support gratefully received, were friends of the team, John Ryan and Simon Nichols, who both gave up two hours of their time to assist us.

As a result of the wonderful generosity of Morrisons customers, the fantastic sum of £573.38p was collected in our buckets, which will help to fund our totally voluntary search and rescue service.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to Morrisons for allowing us to collect in their store all day, especially Julie Fletcher, Customer Champion, but most of all thank you to the many generous and interested shoppers who stopped to chat and add their contributions to our collection buckets.”
