Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

21st October 2014

Not previously reported by us, has been the donation of some casualty care items by Orvecare www.orvecare.com to the team via our DVSD Dog Handler Dave Marsh, who received the donated items at the recent Emergency Services Show, held over 24th / 25th September 2014, at the NEC Birmingham.

The first item is a vacuum packed foil rescue blanket with a warm fleece lining on the inside, which is shower proof and is intended for single use applications.

Known as an orve+wrap@ blanket, this 2m x 1.5m item is compact and lightweight.

Also donated was an Ambulance Linen Pack, consisting of a fitted cot sheet, which can laterally transfer up to 37 stone, an incontinence pad and a flat sheet, all single use items, all lightweight.

Both these items will be kept as part of the casualty care equipment fit on our Incident Control Vehicle.
