Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

23rd October 2014

On Thursday 18th September 2014 we reported within the ‘News’ section of our website, on a visit the team made to Year 7 and 8 at Wellfield High School, Yewlands Drive, Leyland, as part of the schools ‘Team Building Day.’

Attending in our Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance vehicle, radio callsign Bolton Mobile 3, were our Equipment Officer – Base / HQ Paul Copley, Team President Bob Hutchinson and Matthew Hailwood.

Long serving Bolton MRT team member Diane Blakeley was already present at Wellfield School to greet her colleagues Paul, Bob and Matthew, as Diane is the Assistant Headteacher Learning and Teaching at Wellfield High School.

On Sunday 21st September 2014, a detailed report on the visit was placed on to our website by team member Diane Blakeley.

Diane has now passed on to our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, an absolutely fantastic collection of hand drawn cards of thanks from the Year 7 and 8 pupils offering their thanks for this visit.

Each of the twenty one cards clearly show that a great deal of time and effort has gone in to their creation, with some great designs that have really impressed our Team Leader (Who as a Chartered Landscape Architect was a draughtsman well practiced in drawing and presentation skills)

All the cards will now be put up on display at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, showing off the undoubted talents of the Wellfield High School pupils.
