Early this evening our Equipment Officer – Medical, Nigel Booth, journeyed to the Garstang Base / HQ of Bowland Pennine MRT to officially represent the Bolton MRT at a presentation handover evening event by Cumbrian and Lancastrian Rotarians, who were very kindly donating AED Defibrillators to MRTs operating in Lancashire.
Nigel attended in one of our Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance vehicles, and arrived for the 18.30hrs start of the presentation evening.
The evening was kindly hosted by Bowland Pennine MRT, at their Garstang Base / HQ, situated within the Creamery Industrial Estate, Kenlis Road, Barnacre, Garstang.
AED Defibrillators were donated during the evening to ourselves, Bowland Pennine MRT, Rossendale and Pendle MRT and the Cave rescue Organisation.
We are very grateful to the Rotarians of Cumbrian and Lancastrian Rotary for their kindness in making this fantastic donation to ourselves and our colleague Lancashire MRTs.
This particular AED will now be placed in to service as part of the equipment of our Ford Transit Minibus / Personnel Carrier Ambulance, and the kindness of the Rotarians now means all six of our Team Vehicles are now equipped with latest generation AEDs.
A further report on this very generous and important donation will appear here shortly by Nigel Booth, our Equipment Officer – Medical.
