Regular readers will be aware via our website that on Good Friday 2014, the team came to the rescue of Chloe Southworth, who suffered a leg injury on Rivington Pike whilst enjoying the sunny day with her father, uncle and cousin.
Chloe was immediately tended to by team members on the day, and was flown to hospital by the North West Air Ambulance (Please see website ‘News’ report dated Good Friday, 18th April 2014).
Since her accident that day, Chloe has very kindly offered to support the North West Air Ambulance and Bolton Mountain Rescue Team charities in her role as Rose Queen for 2014-2015 at St. Peter’s Church in Chorley.
Chloe’s latest fundraising event took place on Sunday 2nd November 2014 (Please see website ‘News’ report dated the same)
Today we received via our Facebook pages the following tremendous news from Chloe’s mum, Karen;
“Hi there. Just wanted to update you. Chloe raised £297.00 from the tea dance yesterday, plus another £71.00 from donations from her dance school and her grandma’s senior citizens group making a total of £368.00 to be split between Bolton MRT and NWAA.
Thanks for being able to send a couple of the team down yesterday too, despite how busy you guys are, it was very much appreciated and I’m sure it made every one even more aware of the great work you do.”
The team wishes to thank Chloe for her tremendous support of both ourselves and the North West Air Ambulance.
