This evening the team was visited by our close friends Barbara Ronson and John Smith, who were attending to present donations to the team, respectively from Horwich Festival of Racing and Lostock Athletic and Triathlon Club.

Arriving at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ at 18.45hrs, the original intention was for Barbara and John to meet our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE and other gathered members, but just prior to their visit Incident 90 had occurred which ‘diverted’ most members, including our Team Leader.

Team Trainee member Gary Melia filled the breech, and accepted on behalf of the team the kind donations from Barbara and John.
Barbara Ronson was attending in her capacity as Chairman of Horwich Festival of Racing Committee, and handed over a huge donation of £600.00 as thanks for our provision of standby rescue cover to this event back on Sunday 15th June 2014 .

John Smith attended as Chairman of Lostock Athletic and Triathlon Club with a truly wonderful donation to us of £200.00, as thanks for our provision of standby rescue cover to their Hendersons End Event of Thursday 5th June 2014 .
