Today at the Lead Mines Valley Remembrance Sunday Service attended by the team, we met our long standing friend and supporter David Bisset.
Way back in August 2005, Iain Bisset whilst climbing with his father and fellow climber David Bisset, at Ousel’s Nest Quarry, Chapeltown, suffered injuries in a climbing accident, to which the team and the ambulance service were called.
Iain thankfully went on to make a full recovery, and went back to rock climbing at a high standard, and since this time has also travelled abroad extensively.
Since the accident, Iain, his family and particularly David his father, have become valued, stalwart and very much appreciated, regular supporters and friends of the team.
Today we are very pleased to have received from David another kind and thoughtful donation to the team of £50.00. David very kindly handed over the donation to the Team along with an accompanying letter which stated:
“To Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, Ladies and Gentleman of the team.
Autumnal greetings, it is as ever good to see you supporting this event, which is one of the milestones of the passing year.
All good wishes, David Bisset.”
As ever the entire team membership extends its sincere thanks to David Bisset and his family, for such continued and very appreciated kind and thoughtful support of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
