Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

9th November 2014

Following our involvement in todays Remembrance Sunday Service at Lead Mines Valley, a small number of team members went on to undertake some steep ground stretcher handling work with our Bell Mountain Rescue Stretcher on the flanks of Winter Hill, overlooking the Rivington to Belmont road.

In total eleven team Call Out list members attended the exercise organised by our Training Officer Alistair Greenhough.

Alistair’s fifteen year old daughter Hannah, kindly agreed to act out the role of an exercise casualty for us during this exercise.

Three of our seven new team recruits, who are now in the first stages of their probationary team training period, also took part today including Carole Truman, Steve James and Heath Doran.

Whilst en route to the exercise in our Incident Control Vehicle, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE met up with former long serving Bolton MRT member Alan Livesey, out road cycling, who passed on his best wishes to those in the team who knew him throughout his team membership.
