This evening our trainee air scenting mountain rescue search dog handler Jess Ellsmore and her trainee search dog Blitz, undertook some training in the Wilderswood and Wilders Moor area, high above Horwich.

Jess and of course Blitz, were assisted by fellow Bolton MRT members Mike Marsh, Michael Wakerley, David Crawford, Jess’s friend Vicki Michelle Holden and Phillip Wearing, all five playing the role of an exercise casualty for Blitz to find.

Phillip Wearing had very kindly volunteered to help, journeying from his Ellesmere Port home, after offering his help through the SARDA (England) website.
