Early this morning at 07.30hrs, our trainee mountain rescue air scenting search dog handler Jess Ellsmore, her trainee dog Blitz and fellow team colleague Michael Wakerley, set off to journey to the north east to undertake some SARDA training in company with colleagues from MRTs in North East England.
Their involvement in SARDA training saw them ‘on the hill’ by circa 10.00hrs.
Jess, Blitz and Michael all joined Graded Dog Handler Peter Thompson and Brian Allport from Northumberland National Park MRT, Graded Dog Handler and SARDA England Chairman Ian Thompson from North of Tyne MRTand trainee dog handler Dean McCann from Cleveland MRT, alongside other people involved in todays exercise.
The exercise took place in the Twice Brewed area near to Hadrians Wall in Northumberland, and saw Jess Blitz and Michael returning back to the Bolton MRT team area by 18.00hrs today ….. a long day for all three.
Jess and Michael would like to thank all their friends in the north east for the kind invitation to join them today.
