At 13.00hrs this sunny afternoon, with snow still on the local moors, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE was contacted directly by NWAS Lancashire EOC, requesting the teams assistance with a local incident.
At the time Garry was travelling up to the Lake District for a few days walking in Eskdale, and the call was passed to team members already known to be in training at our Ladybridge Hall base / HQ.
It was quickly established that this call was outside our primary operational area and within that of our colleagues at Bowland Pennine MRT, to whom the call was passed on.
Please see the website of Bowland Pennine MRT for details of their response to this incident.
