Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

18th January 2015

Following the conclusion of Incident 22, the team members involved travelled on to undertake their originally planned exercise at the excellent venue of Brownstones Quarry, off Colliers Row Road, Smithills.

Our Training Officer Alistair Greenough split the twelve Call Out list members and five probationary members in to two groups.

One group consisting of our newer members, carried out some simple rope work techniques on steep ground, in the snow covered quarry, whilst the other more experienced members practised using our Pro Allp devices for descending, and back up safety systems.

A short but heavy snow fall added a further dimension to todays mini exercise.
