Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

29th January 2015

On Thursday 22nd January 2015, we went to the aid of a 12 year old boy who had sustained a serious leg fracture, whilst snow sledging at Rivington (Please see Incident Report 23 – 2015, within our website ‘ news’ pages)

Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, who was present at the incident, received the following kind email from Gordon Carlisle;

“Dear Sirs.

I was the team leader of the school when you were called to rescue the 12 year old after the sledging accident.

I was immensely impressed at the way you all dealt with the incident.

It would be nice to chat to someone about it!

Thank you, Gordon Carlisle.”

Our Team Leader immediately contacted Gordon, and having accepted, he is now making arrangements for a future visit to us at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ.

Gordon has also kindly offered to act as an exercise casualty for us whenever we require, with our Training Officer Alistair Greenough now having his details so such can be arranged.
