Early this morning some team members met at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ to journey in our Bolton Mobile 3 Land Rover, to Lead Mines Valley, Anglezarke, to undertake some moorland navigation practice.
The training took place in Lead Mines Valley and Limestone Clough, heading up to the site of the now long removed Shooting Huts, and on to Anglezarke Moor.
Traditional map and compass work was practised, including leap frog navigation and pacing.
Following this, a smaller number of team members then went on to Brownstones Quarry, to further practise some steep ground rope work, as a follow on to the exercise of Sunday 18th January 2015.
