On Saturday 14th February 2015, we provided standby rescue cover for the West Lancashire Group of the Long Distance Walkers Association (LDWA) ‘Anglezarke Amble’ event – please see website ‘News’ report dated the same.
We are very pleased to report the receipt yesterday of a kind and generous donation of £200.00 to the team, arising from our involvement in this years event, from our fantastic friends and supporters at the West Lancashire Group of the LDWA.
Next years West Lancashire Group LDWA ‘Anglezarke Amble’ event is scheduled for Saturday 13th February 2016, and once again by invitation we will be providing full standby rescue cover for the duration of the event.
We also wish to report the following kind email comment made on the evening of Friday 27th February to our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE by Ian Wardle, of the West Lancashire Group LDWA, organiser of the ‘Anglezarke Amble’;
“Dear Garry, just to thank you and your team for your excellent service again this year which is greatly appreciated. Next year I will try to get ice and snow on the tops so you have a bit of a challenge!”
The entire Bolton MRT membership wishes to extend its sincere thanks to all our friends at West Lancs LDWA for their continuing and much appreciated support of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
