On the evening of Tuesday 18th November 2014, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE and team member Michael Wakerley attended the Annual General Meeting of Chorley Ramblers, to give a presentation on the work of the team, at which a fantastic impromptu donation resulted in £56.00 being raised for the team.
Our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE has now received the following kind letter from Paula Armstrong, Secretary of Chorley Ramblers;
“Dear Garry.
I am writing to express Chorley Ramblers gratitude to you and your colleague for the exceptional presentation you gave at our November 2014 AGM.
The presentation was very interesting and informative and it was obvious that you and your colleagues are committed and passionate about the work that you do to assist people who find themselves in difficulties in our local countryside.
Please accept our grateful thanks and we look forward to visiting your service, which I believe Barbara Williams is currently arranging.
Yours sincerely, Paul Armstrong, secretary, Chorley Ramblers.”
We are now looking forward to the visit to our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ by the members of Chorley Ramblers, which has now been arranged for the evening of Tuesday 21st April 2015.
No doubt our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE and Michael Wakerley will be on hand to further enlighten our valued friends at Chorley Ramblers as to the work of the Bolton MRT within the local community.
