Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

27th March 2015

Our Team Secretary Gillian Gregory has been in recent contact with Mrs Kathleen Pyle, who in June 2015 becomes the President Elect of Horwich Inner Wheel.

Her late husband, Chris, was a friend of Bolton MRT current member and former very long serving Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon and sadly died on 3rd July 2008.

Donations of £630.00 to the memory of Chris Pyle were made to Bolton MRT at the time (Please see team website ‘News’ article of 8.8.2008.)

Kathleen’s daughter and son-in-law, Steve & Gillian Pyle, have Beaumont Electrical Contractors in Horwich,  where they very kindly host a team collecting box, which raises a good amount for us  at this small very  successful business.

Our Secretary Gillian has been informed by Kathleen that when she becomes President of Horwich Inner Wheel in June 2015, she has very kindly and thoughtfully chosen Bolton MRT as her charity to support in her 2015 – 2016 term of Office.

At their meeting of Thursday 3rd September 2015 at Ridgmont House, off Chorley Old Road, Horwich, our President Bob Hutchinson will be a luncheon guest of Horwich Inner Wheel, invited to give a short presentation on the work of the Bolton MRT to the ladies present.

Horwich Inner Wheel are also holding a major fundraising coffee morning event to benefit the Bolton MRT – from 10:00hrs  – 12:00hrs  on Wednesday 11th November 2015, to which our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE will be attending, alongside other team members and a team vehicle.

The whole team membership would like to thank Mrs Kathleen Pyle of Horwich Inner Wheel for kindly choosing to support us in this manner, and we wish her all the very best on her appointment as President of Horwich Inner Wheel from June this year.
