On Saturday 7th March 2015, we reported that our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE had recently received the wonderful news from our dear friends at Bolton and District Charity Golfers Tournaments Centenary Year 2015, that we had been confirmed as one of four charities nominated by the Men’s Committee to receive a substantial donation.

The Bolton and District Charity Golfers Tournaments / Ladies Section and Men’s Section of Bolton Golf Clubs via their Golf Cot have been marvellous supporters of the team in the past, having made major donations of £700.00 in 2014 and £600.00 in 2007.

This evening, very long serving team member Dave Marsh, who is also an experienced former air scenting Search Dog Handler and is a current DVSD Search Dog Handler, represented the team at the Annual Charity presentation evening of the Bolton and District Charity Golfers Tournaments Centenary Year 2015, held at the Old Links Golf Club, to accept this wonderful donation.

We are absolutely delighted to report that Dave was presented with a fantastic donation of £1,075.00.

The entire team membership extends its sincere gratitude to all members of Bolton and District Golfers for their continuing and much valued support of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
