On Good Friday 22nd April 2011, we went to the rescue, alongside NWAA Helimed, Lancashire Constabulary and NWAS, of Karon Forster who had fallen whilst rock climbing in the company of her two young daughters and husband, at Cadshaw Castle Rocks. (Please see website ‘News’ report dated Incident 31 – 2011, 22nd April 2011)
We are pleased to report, that our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, recently received a very kind letter from the husband of Karon, Kenny Forster, stating;
“Dear Garry.
Please find enclosed a cheque for £25.00.
We are approaching the anniversary of my wife’s rescue from Cadshaw rocks on Good Friday 2011, and so I would like to make a donation towards the on going costs of your operation.
Many thanks for your help on that occasion, keep up the good work.
Yours sincerely, Kenny Forster.”
All in the team who remember this particular incident, pass on their kind thanks for this wonderful donation, and wish Kenny, Karon and their family all the very best.
