Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

25th April 2015

Our latest six trainee team members joined the team late last October, and so missed out on our last in – house casualty care in mountain rescue certificate accredited course.

Illustrative of their keenness and commitment to training, this morning, five of our six new trainees and somewhat ‘older’ trainee Gary Melia, – soon to become a full team member, met at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ for a very intensive and comprehensive one day ‘over view’ course in Mountain Rescue Casualty Care.

Our Training Officer Alistair Greenough, who is in full time employment as an Accident and Emergency Nurse – very long serving and experienced, organised the course for Trainees Heath Doran, Neil Haigh, Rasti Schweizer, Carole Truman, Matthew Morris and Gary Melia.

On hand to assist Alistair, was expert tuition and assistance form three Senior Anaesthetic Practitioners, all work colleagues of Alistair, who kindly gave up their Saturday to pass on their expert knowledge and experiences ; Dave McClure (a great friend of the team and formerly of Cheshire SART) Steve Wilcock, and Dan Coughlin. (Readers will recall these three also assisted with our training on Wednesday evening, 22nd April 2015)

The day was a great success, thanks in no small part to the help and involvement from Dave McClure, Steve Wilcock and Dan Coughlin.
