This evening our Equipment Officer – Water David Cook, ably assisted by his young (old!) apprentice, David Marsh, carried out a number of maintenance tasks on our 3.4 metre semi rigid inflatable SAR Boat.

These works included a new engine mount, the transom board sanded, painted and refitted, a ‘slight’ leak(!) investigated and dealt with, and the Boat First Aid kit checked and replenished.

Further checks were also carried out on team personal issue PFD (Personal Flotation Devices)

Late evening, both David’s finally got home, and this was after both had also attended this afternoon’s call out.
