On Monday 18th May 2015, we reported that Bank Top Brewery of Bolton, are donating 30p from the sale of each of their latest pin badges to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
Bank Top Brewey, brewers of traditional beers, are very supportive of local charities and we are very grateful for this their latest charity initiative.
The badges can be purchased from Bank Top Brewery situated in the former mill village of Bank Top in Bolton, or from their two Public Houses ; Brewery Tap, 68 – 70 Belmont Road, Astley Bridge, Bolton, and The Ale House, 36 Church Street, Horwich, Bolton.
We can now add some additional information, supplied on Monday 18th May to our Secretary Gillian Gregory by Claire Kirkman of Bank Top Brewery.
“Hi Gillian,
Lovely to speak with you today.
Please find attached pump clip images and the poster we display in the Bank Top Brewery Tap and Bank Top Brewery Ale House promoting our pump clip pin badges.
For the month of May, our feature badge is the Dark Mild pump clip – the month of May in the cask ale world is known as the Merry Mild month of May hence the reason we are using this pump clip this month.
And for June we are featuring Pavilion Pale Ale – a beer named after the Tennis Pavilion where the brewery is based, June is predominantly known for Wimbledon hence the tennis theme.
Flat Cap is our signature beer and best seller and so the badge will be available throughout the year alongside the Bank Top Brewery pin badge.
The badges are available directly from the Brewery and both of our pubs – the Tap on Belmont Road and the Ale House in Horwich at a cost of £1 each, of which 30p will be donated to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team from each badge sold.
If you require any further information, please let me know.
Kind regards, Claire Kirkman, Bank Top Brewery.”
