Today commencing at 11.00hrs, 7x team call out list full members, 2x trainee team members, and Support Group member Iain Clarkson met at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ for our monthly Vehicles, Trailers, SAR Boat and Base / HQ Valet and vehicles checks, Search and Rescue equipment checks.

(Regardless of our routine checks and cleaning that take place after every use of our Base / HQ and our vehicles and kit, we still carry out this more comprehensive ‘day’ the last Sunday in every month)

Numbers present for today were somewhat lower than usual, a combination of many members being away for this May Holiday weekend, and others nursing that morning after the night before feeling from team trainee member Heath Doran’s wedding celebrations the night before!

Our Training Officer Alistair Greenough, in the company of team member and local Edgworth resident John Dickinson, then journeyed in the afternoon to the area of Turton and Entwistle Reservoir to espy a potential training exercise venue – no doubt another devious location and scenario from our Training Officer for our future training programme.
