Our readers are by now well aware that we are currently in the process of reviewing our rope access training, which is a direct follow on to the training received on the recent visit by five team members to Lyon Equipment on Saturday 18th April 2015 (Please see website report dated the same)
This evening, in the absence of a team training exercise due to a team commitment to provide standby rescue cover for tomorrow evenings Two Lads Fell Race, four team members met at our GMFRS Bolton North Community Fire Station garage, and further practiced and reviewed our rope access training.
Present for this training was Team Equipment Officer – Ropes and Stretchers Nigel Booth, trainee team members Heath Doran and Steve James, and Team member Gary Melia.
Again following the usual format, very comprehensive and intense training took place.
This is part of a series of awareness sessions in rope access training being undertaken within the team membership by Team Equipment Officer – Ropes and Stretchers Nigel Booth and our Training Officer Alistair Greenough.
