Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

Wednesday evening 8th July will see team members providing standby rescue cover for the Midweek MTB Madness mountain bike event, attracting upwards of 100x entrants, being held at Leverhulme Park, Bolton.

This is the first time we have been associated with this event, with the main race commencing at 19.15hrs, and practice laps starting at 18.00hrs.

On Thursday evening 9th July, for only the second year running we’ll be providing standby rescue cover for the Bull Hill Fell Race, organised by Radcliffe Athletics Club.

The race, starting at Boardmans Farm, Hawkshaw, takes in a route up to Lark Hill, thence to Bull Hill summit and on to Alden Ratchers, then to Beetle Hill, Pilgrims Cross, Holcombe Head Farm, to finish in the vicinity of Holcombe Hey Fold Farm, Holcombe.

Friday 10th July will see our Trailing Search Dog Handler Steve Nelson, navigator Elaine Gilliland and Trailing Search Dog Boris all head off for this month’s SARDA Wales training weekend in North Wales.

Friday evening, 10th July is also the 40th Birthday Celebration at the Rivington Bowling Club of former team member, and now GMFRS Watch Manager Horwich Community Fire Station Glyn McGann, with an open invite to Bolton MRT members who served alongside him during his time as a Bolton MRT operational team member.

On Saturday 11th July, team member, our Equipment Officer – Ropes and Stretchers Nigel Booth will be present with a team Land Rover Defender Ambulance at the EPIC Event being held at Egerton Park, Egerton.
