On Thursday 11th June 2015, we reported within our website on an enquiry received from a supporter in the Ukraine;
“Dear Bolton Mountain Rescue Team,
My name is Volodymyr. I’m a fan of everything related with Mountain Rescue.
I would like to thank you for your important work and ask you to send me some souvenirs (like pin, shoulder patch, pen, stickers or other).
For me, it’s important. I hope to hear from you soon, deeply appreciate your understanding in fulfilling this request and wish you a great summertime!Sincerely, Volodymyr Balakunets
My address: Ivana Sirka str. 7 Chortkiv, Ternopilska oblast, Ukraine, 48500.”
Our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE replied to Volodymyr, sending a metal mountain rescue supporters badge, and a mountain rescue badge, a national mountain rescue supporters car sticker, a team supporters car sticker and two team cloth badges.
Garry has subsequently received the following kind email from Volodymyr, dated 26th July 2015;
“Good Morning Mr. Rhodes,
I’m writing to let you know that I received your parcel a few days ago.
Thank you very much for such great stuff added to my modest collection!
Have a nice day!
Kind regards, Volodymyr Balakunets.”
Perhaps our colleague neighbouring mountain rescue and search and rescue teams would also like to support the mountain rescue themed collection of Volodymyr.
