Team member Gary Melia, was sadly informed over this last weekend, that our collection box at the Rose and Crown, Westhoughton, was stolen, alongside a Marie Curie collection box and other items.

Gary Melia who ‘looks after’ the placement and emptying of this particular box, himself has been the victim on two occasions, when team collection boxes have been stolen from his Barbers Shop premises in Radcliffe –  and so can sympathise first hand with this theft.

Charities such as ours rely on collection boxes out in the communities we serve to generate donations from a very supportive public, and so this loss is hard hitting.

We extend our thoughts to the Rose and Crown over other items also stolen at this same time.
