This morning at 11.00hrs a small number of team members gathered at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, primarily to initially check over kit used on the previous searches and rescues, replenish items and put a lot of our lighting equipment on – and then off, charge.
Vehicles were also routinely checked over, whilst all our vehicle SAT NAVs were also subjected to a routine update, as were our Control vehicle mapping systems.
With Mike Marsh, Equipment Officer – IT and Communications Steve Fletcher, Deputy Team Leader Chris Greenhalgh continuing with these tasks, and our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE starting to write up all the recent Incident reports, Chris Tennant was carrying out some security maintenance to our Catering Trailer Unit.
Meanwhile seven other team members, who had attended this morning, Training Officer Alistair Greenough, Equipment Officer – Base and Catering Paul Copley, Heath Doran, Michael Eddleston, Steve James, Gary Melia and Michael Wakerley, all journeyed in two of our Land Rovers to Tigers Clough / River Douglas, to carry out some rope work training, as part of the teams continuing rope work training that has been taking place all through summer.
