Today commencing at 10.00hrs we were on display at GMFRS Eccles Community Fire Station Open Day.

Team members Tony Dawson, John Dickinson, DVSD Handler Dave Marsh and DVSD Search Dog Sasha, and Trainee Team member Heath Doran attended, with our Land Rover Defender Mountain Rescue Ambulance ‘Bolton Mobile 2,’ and our Volkswagen Crafter Incident Control Vehicle, ‘Bolton Mobile 6.’

Upon arrival our four members were warmly welcomed by GMFRS Crew manager Dan Lee of GMFRS Eccles Community Fire Station.

Displays at todays Open Day included a GMFRS Aerial Platform, the based Water Rescue Team, GMFRS Technical Rescue Unit, Childrens Disco Fire Engine, Pump Appliance, Fire Cadets, ‘Soak a Fireman’ stocks, and a CPR Demonstration, amongst other displays and attractions.

Thanks to the kindness of the many interested members of the public who visited our display, £17.55p was raised in donations to Bolton MRT.

By 15.30hrs our members present were on their way home, another GMFRS Community Fire Station Open Day attended.
