Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

25th October 2015

This morning, commencing at 10.30hrs, 17x team call out list full members, 2x trainee team members, and Support Group member Iain Clarkson, met at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ for our monthly Vehicles, Trailers, SAR Boat and Base / HQ Valet and vehicles checks, Search and Rescue equipment checks.

Regardless of our routine checks and cleaning that take place after every use of our Base / HQ and our vehicles and kit, we still carry out this more comprehensive ‘day’ near or on the last Sunday in every month.

A lot of work was carried out today, given the training exercises and three Call Outs we’ve had this last week, which included changing over team ‘spare kit’ which has been in some vehicles this week, whilst ‘front line kit’ has been drying and being cleaned, arising from this weeks incidents.

Our IT specialists were revising and updating our IT based mapping systems, with other members amending our latest Training and Events Programme.

Of course with the clocks changing at 02.00hrs this morning, we in turn had to reset all the clocks in team use – three clocks in our Base / HQ and six ‘dashboard’ clocks in each of our six team vehicles.

Following this, six team members in two of our Land Rover Defender Mountain Rescue Ambulances then went in to the team’s area for some driver familiarity training.
