Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

19th November 2015

At our monthly meeting this evening of our Support Group, a fond farewell was made to member Amanda Strickleton who has moved to live in Hazel Grove with her partner, Simon.

Amanda was a member of Bolton Institute of Advanced Motorists and visited our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ with other members in September 2011 to learn more about our search and rescue work.

She was so impressed with what she saw that she applied and joined us as a Support Group member!

We are glad that she did, because Amanda has been an enthusiastic member of the Support Group for four years now, helping with charity store collections (often with her partner, Simon – many thanks to him too), attending fundraising events, helping with catering and cleaning, and looking after collection boxes out in the community.

All in the team, both operational and Support Group members, thank her for all her support and wish her well in her new life in Cheshire.

As we said goodbye to Amanda, we welcomed a new potential member, Naomi Horan of Horwich.

Naomi was a previous team call-out operational member and left the active team for family reasons, but now wishes to become involved again and help ‘behind the scenes’ and we look forward to her undoubted support.
