23rd November 2015

Today in what has been a very busy month for him (and Elaine and Boris) our Mountain Rescue Trailing Search Dog Handler Steve Nelson was called out to assist Bowland Pennine MRT and Lancashire Constabulary with a missing person incident in circumstances giving Police concern for the wellbeing of the missing male.

The search was centred upon the West Bradford / Waddington area near Clitheroe, Lancashire.

Steve was first contacted at 16.30hrs by Kev Camplin, Team Leader of Bowland Pennine MRT for his specialist assistance.

Together with Elaine Gilliland, his usual navigator, and with Trailing Search Dog Boris, they all three left their Bolton home at 18.30hrs, arriving at the search RVP at 19.45hrs, commencing their search at 20.00hrs.

By 22.00hrs they had completed their allocated taskings and returned home by 23.00hrs.

Just after this time the missing male was located safe, outside the tasked search areas.

This search incident included members of Bowland Pennine MRT, SARDA Search Dogs from RPMRT, Bolton MRT and CRO alongside Lancashire Constabulary assets.

Please see the website and Facebook account of Bowland Pennine MRT for more details on this search incident.
