Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

4th December 2015

We offer our best wishes to now former GMFRS Station Manager Wayne Guffogg on his recent retirement from GMFRS after 31 years service starting with GMCFS which became GMFRS.

Wayne in the last few years of his long service in GMFRS, was the Station Manager for Horwich Community Fire Station and Bolton North Community Fire Station.

As Station Manager covering Bolton North Community Fire Station it was Wayne who kindly gave approval for us to utilise garage premises at Bolton North, where we keep one of our four Land Rover Defender Mountain Rescue Ambulances, a practice which has greatly facilitated our response times for members living in that area to get to incident locations.

Over the years we have met Wayne on many training exercises, Incidents (particularly moorland wildfires) and Fire Station Open Days.

All in the team wish Wayne a happy, long and healthy retirement, and all the best for the future.
