Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

13th January 2016

Today at 13.00hrs, two team members attended a Bolton MBC Multi – Agency Debrief regards the Boxing Day 2015 Floods and their impact within the Bolton MBC Local Authority area.

The meeting was organised and facilitated by Bolton MBC, and was held within the Lecture Room at Bolton Central Library and Museum, Le Mans Crescent, Bolton.

Both members attending had played a full part in our Boxing Day response to the terrible flooding incident at Prestolee, Bolton,  – see website report Incident 98 dated 26th December 2015.

In attendance were representatives from GMFRS, a multitude of Bolton Council Departments and Bolton MRT, amongst other organisations.

The meeting was used as a forum to discuss things that went well, things that did not work as well as they might have and things to do to make future incidents less devastating to local residents.

The meeting showed how well the various agencies worked together and that although our involvement was just on Boxing Day the Bolton MBC local authority operation continued for a further 5 days at least.
