This evening, at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, twenty seven operational members, and one Support Group member, spent the evening carrying out team equipment checks, some arising from recent incidents, where equipment had to be washed and cleaned.
Specifically, an audit of our personally issued water search and rescue PPE clothing was carried out, checks and maintenance work was carried out on our SAR Boat and its associated equipment, and many minor equipment repairs and checks were carried out.
We currently have one of our three newer Land Rovers immobile, with a transmission issue, which is with our friendly garage – Frank Hulton Motors of Farnworth, for repair, and so provision was made this evening for our Ford Transit Minibus to carry search and rescue equipment full time as an interim measure, until Bolton Mobile 1 is repaired.
It has not been a good week for our Land Rovers, with our ‘Bolton Mobile 2’ scheduled to have some electrical checks on it this Friday, 22nd November 2016.
Six further team members, under our Chairman Craig Lamb, held a meeting this evening, to further review our Constitution, which has been an on going project since our previous Chairman Ken Oakes, commenced a review in 2012, with further work carried out principally by our Chairman Craig Lamb, Treasurer Martin Banks and Mark Scott, all under the direction and with discussion at our Council Meetings over the last year.
Our ‘new’ version, revised Constitution will now be put forward to the team for approval at a Special General Meeting to be held at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ on Wednesday evening, 2nd March 2016, commencing at 20.00hrs.
