Each Bolton MRT operational member is equipped with a compact radio handset giving access to multiple frequencies in use by UKSAR / colleague MRTs – SRTs within the UK, including ground to air frequencies to talk to air SAR assets.

In common with many other MRTs we also have access to use the Airwave system, and today we took place in an inter service Bolton MRT / GMFRS local Fire Station Airwave radio talk group interoperability exercise, specifically with GMFRS Bolton North Community Fire Station Duty Watch.
