Throughout today a number of team members were present at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ for various tasks and some impromptu training.
Our Equipment Officer – Ropes and Stretchers Nigel Booth, provided a training session covering some technical rope management skills.
Michael Eddleston, John Dickinson and our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE washed down and cleaned the exterior and interior of our Land Rover ‘Bolton Mobile 4,’ and our Incident Control Vehicle ‘Bolton Mobile 6.’
Steve James assisted by his not so young wood working apprentice, namely our Equipment Officer – Base and Catering Paul Copley, added an additional worktop to our kitchen area at our Base / HQ. (both somehow insisting the colour match of the black new worktop was a perfect match to the cream coloured existing top!)
Our Training Officer Alistair Greenough and Mike Marsh spent an interesting hour plus repairing and rebuilding our older CPR Manikins, eventually making one from the original parts of two, first brought in to team service in 1999. (we also have two brand new CPR Manikins, newly donated to the team)
Michael Wakerley revised and prepared some existing notes for our new member recruitment 2016 evening, scheduled for this Thursday 28th January, whilst another Team Training and Events Programme revision issue was made, and our Treasurer Martin Banks continued in his task to place some of his Treasurers reports and Archives in to store at our Base / HQ.
In total thirteen operational team members and Support Group member Iain Clarkson attended today at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ.
