Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

27th January 2016

This evening our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received a long distance telephone enquiry, via our Base / HQ telephone, from a mother in Brisbane, Australia.

Very sadly she explained that her son was believed drowned in a local river, but efforts to locate his body were proving difficult.

She explained to Garry that she had been aware of our specialist Drowned Victims Search Dog – Sasha, and her handler, Bolton MRT long serving team member Dave Marsh, enquiring if we knew if such a capability existed in Australia, and if Dave Marsh could offer any advice.

The mother was put in immediate touch with Dave who has offered help and advice.

This request for advice from the team is listed here for the information and interest of our readership and is not recorded within our Incident Listings.
