Setting off from the high moorland car park of Hordern Stoops this evening, fourteen team operational members took part in a navigation exercise in small groups, organised by our Deputy Team Leader Chris Greenhalgh, upon the slopes and summit area of a very cold, wet and windswept Winter Hill.
Upon completion (well done to John Dickinson and Tony Dawson, who explaining their late return stated “they were the only party to do it properly”) all present, alongside our new recruit applicants, descended on mass (with prior warning) at Ye Jolly Crofters on Chorley Old Road, Horwich, where team member Neil Aspinall had arranged with Landlords Sharon and Alan Jones to take up their incredibly kind offer of providing us with a free chip butty supper.
Hosts Sharon and Alan at Ye Jolly Crofters went on to inform Neil Aspinall and Garry our Team Leader, that their Grand Charity Night of Friday 29th January 2016 (see website ‘News’ report dated the same) had met fantastic success, and that monies were still coming in, and had exceeded all expectations – keep watching our website for news on the ‘results’ of this great evening.
